Service Description

New curbside textile recycling program WE DO NOT CATER TO FOR-PROFIT BUSINESS or services that charge the homeless. WE do not charge charities or other social service agencies. You can put out material-based items such as clothes, shoes, towels or sheets The new curbside textile collection is starting For residents can put out material-based items such as clothing, shoes, towels or sheets. The items should be in condition that can be reused. "One of the areas we are highlighting with this partnership with local charities is that used textiles and those items no longer viable for resale will not be landfilled but rather sent to a local charity shops to be distributed to the needy. The service is free to Trasmeout Customers. All others there is a $15.99 pickup and transportation fee. Residents do not have to be home for the pickup. Items should be clean and ready to be used. Preferences with folding requested. Items are taken to the The Bishop William M. Cosgrove Center, commonly called “Cosgrove” is one of the largest day drop-in centers in the Greater Cleveland area. More than 15 million tons of used textile waste is generated each year in the United States, and the amount has doubled over the last 20 years. Cosgrove Clothing Closet is available to any adult man or woman. Sign in for clothing begins at 9:00 am, and the first 30 people are seen, starting at 10:00 am, until the last person has been served. All clothing is donated, and is new or lightly worn. Hygiene products are given when available, along with shoes and boots. Guests are given the opportunity to shop for up to 3 outfits. There is a monthly, quarterly and, yearly plan available
